He has a distinguished career with 35+ awards for excellence in packaging on Innovation and Sustainability including 7 coveted WorldStar trophies, he was awarded the lifetime achievement award by Express Pharma in 2018. His experience includes GlaxoSmithKline, Reliance Ind., Marico and J&J. Sriman has a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Post Graduation in Plastics, Masters in Packaging & MBA with specialisation in Finance and has achieved Lifetime Certified Packaging Professional from IOPP, USA.

How does consumer engagement/patient centricity trend drive innovation?
People behaviour is changing, some on account of pandemic and few on account of natural evolution. Consumers and Patients are engaging with the pack more than ever for information, phycological assurance, ease of use and environment sustainability. The engagement, use, retention drives innovation.
What are your predictions for the future of the smart packaging industry in the next 3-5 years?
As people seek more information within IOT, smart packaging will play an important role with connecting the pack to the smart device in a contactless manner right from shopping aisle until product use.
